Want Cabo all to yourself?
We at The Cabo Sun have scoured the tip of Baja to bring you four ultra-private villas that redefine “secluded.” Whether you crave a self-contained micro-resort or a cliff-top glass palace, each of these estates is your ticket to Cabo with zero interruptions—just you, your crew, and the Pacific breeze.
But these ultra-private retreats are more than just empty beaches and silent cliffside getaways—they’ve sparked a surge in elite demand and creative cost-sharing strategies, making total solitude surprisingly within reach.

The Elite Pursuit of Privacy & Shared Luxury
More affluent travelers have long clamored for off-grid retreats where paparazzi can’t follow and every whim is catered to.
These properties—once the exclusive domain of jet-set patrons—are now showing surprising affordability when expenses are divided among friends, family, or corporate teams.
We at The Cabo Sun have noticed two key trends:
- Rising demand from the ultra-wealthy: Celebrities, CEOs, and high-net-worth individuals are booking multi-day takeovers of these villas for milestone celebrations and high-end incentives. Will Smith shared a tour of his villa at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences that cost $25,000 per night! And he is just one of many seeking similar ultra-luxury stays.
- Shared-cost strategies: Splitting the nightly rate among a group can reduce your per-person share to the price of a luxury oceanfront hotel room—while reaping all the perks of a private estate. For the villa Will Smith rented, it can sleep up to 20. If you were able to split the cost with 10 couples, that $25,000 per night comes to $2,500 per night. Still pricey but much more tolerable!
Insider tip: For groups of 8–12, combining resources unlocks insider-only benefits—think bespoke menus, private yacht charters, and personalized concierge service—while slashing the price per head to a fraction of solo booking costs. For smaller gatherings, consider locking off individual villa wings to maximize privacy and control expenses without booking the entire estate.

How to Lock Down Your Secluded Escape
Securing one of these sanctuaries isn’t like booking a typical hotel room. Follow our playbook to guarantee you—and only you—get the keys:
- Engage a villa specialist: Skip mass-market sites. Work with agencies like Cabo Platinum for off-market listings and white-glove service.
- Vet for privacy: Inquire about sightlines, security layers, and direct beach access. Confirm exclusive booking—no shared grounds.
- Clarify inclusions: Get a breakdown of what’s covered (meals, staff, on-site activities) versus extras (spa treatments, off-site tours).
- Review taxes & deposits: Budget for 16% IVA, 4% lodging tax, and a refundable security deposit often required on ultra-luxury stays.
- Plan your itinerary: After booking, leverage your concierge for VIP airport transfers, private yacht charters, in-villa chef experiences, and bespoke land tours—from Todos Santos art crawls to whale shark snorkeling.

Whether you choose the fortress-like privacy of Villa La Datcha or the seamless luxury of Villa One, these secluded retreats promise Cabo like you’ve never experienced it—silent, exclusive, and entirely yours.

Much of the charm of Cabo is the people. Why would you want to go somewhere and stay locked into your Resort for the whole vacation. Go out and experience the local Flair. Eat at the restaurants and support the community rather than just the greedy overpriced hotels. That's why I hate all inclusive. It keeps you inside the hotel and makes people scared to leave. If you're going to go book somewhere exotic and stay in the same room or Villa your whole trip, you might as well go to Hawaii
