As of 2022, there were a total of five Los Cabos resorts that had been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award, but with the arrival of the new year, another one has been added to that list. The Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas was recently given the prestigious award after only being open for a little over three years. During those three years, the resort obviously exceeded guest expectations time and time again because the AAA Five Diamond Award is not given out to just any hotel or resort.
AAA Five Diamond Award Requirements
Hotels and resorts are only awarded a AAA Five Diamond designation after being thoroughly inspected for condition, cleanliness, and quality. The inspections, which are conducted by trained experts, are conducted during unannounced visits to hotel and resort properties. AAA has been conducting these inspections and awarding Diamond status for over 80 years.
Four Seasons And Costa Palmas
The 141-room Four Seasons resort is located in the East Cape area of Los Cabos, beginning in San Jose del Cabo and going north. It is situated in an area known as Costa Palmas, a 1500-acre exclusive secluded oasis that sits on a huge white sand swimmable beach along the Sea of Cortez. The Costa Palmas community has its own private marina, a world-class Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course, and organic orchards and farms.
The East Cape
The East Cape is an area in Baja California Sur that’s known for its stunning natural surroundings, which include the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range. The mountainous backdrop that sits opposite of endless white sand beaches along the Sea of Cortez provides breathtaking scenery. Because of the diverse landscape, there is also a wide range of adventurous activities to enjoy when visiting Los Cabos as well.
Included in the resort’s 141 accommodations are various-sized oceanfront suites, with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez. Some of these luxurious suites even have their own private plunge pool and anyone who rents a suite will be treated to private butler service. There are also a number of more private villas and residences that are available for rent on the Four Seasons property as well, offering a place to enjoy more anonymity or spend a vacation with friends and family.
Staying Active And Healthy At The Four Seasons
At the Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas there are plenty of ways to stay active and healthy without having to leave the resort property. In addition to a 24-hour fitness center guests will also have access to two tennis courts, a basketball court, volleyball, and a lap pool. There is also a state-of-the-art spa, called Oasis Spa, which features a total of 10 treatment rooms, and there are six different swimming pools located throughout the property grounds too.
Other Resorts Amenities
Guests who stay at the Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas will have plenty of options for dining and evening cocktails. There are five restaurants on the property, which include a Cevicheria called El Puesto, a backyard grill-style restaurant called Limón, a fine dining restaurant serving Mediterranean seafood dishes called Estiatorio Milos, and a Mexican brassiere called Casa de Brasa. There is also a cafe, 24-hour in-room dining, a food truck on the golf course, and poolside and beachside dining available.
There are a lot of fantastic resorts in Los Cabos but few offer the seclusion you’ll feel at the Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas. That combined with the long list of amenities and the resort’s attention to detail is what likely earned it the AAA Five Diamond status, and all are perfect reasons to make it your next Baja vacation destination.
