Get ready to wave your flags and paint the town rainbow (not literally), because Los Cabos is gearing up for its most vibrant celebration yet! The much-anticipated Marcha Histórica del Orgullo LGBTQ+ 2025 (LGBTQ+ Pride Historical March 2025) is set to take Cabo San Lucas by storm on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Organizers are buzzing with excitement, and they’re expecting a crowd of over 13,000 people to join in the festivities, making it a landmark event for the region.

This year, the march is rallying under the powerful international theme: “El Manto de Libertad: Pasado, Presente y Futuro, Juntxs por la Igualdad” (The Mantle of Freedom: Past, Present and Future, Together for Equality). It’s a call to celebrate how far the community has come, acknowledge the journey ahead, and do it all with a united front.
So, dust off your most fabulous outfits and get ready for a day filled with love, acceptance, and a whole lot of fun under the Baja sun!

More Than Just a Parade
The driving force behind this incredible event is the Colectivo Codisex A.C., a civil society organization dedicated to promoting equality, non-discrimination, and defending the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in Baja California Sur. They’ve made it clear that this march is more than just a colorful parade; it’s a significant moment to highlight sexual diversity and continue the push for equal rights for everyone in Los Cabos.

Jade Palomares, representing Vinculación Trans de Codisex, emphasized that the event signifies much more than a celebration; it’s a vital part of the ongoing fight for visibility and rights. Municipal authorities and civil society representatives officially announced the details at a recent press conference held at the Galería de la Casa de la Cultura Profa. Nieves Trasviña de Ceseña in Cabo San Lucas, underscoring the collaborative spirit behind the event.
A History of Growing Pride
Los Cabos Pride has seen fantastic growth over the years, truly blossoming into what’s considered the largest LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in Baja California Sur. Back in 2021, around 5,000 people participated, a significant number even with the challenges of the time. By 2022, that number grew to over 7,000, and the momentum has only continued to build.

With an expected turnout of over 13,000 for 2025, it’s clear that the message of love and equality is resonating louder than ever in this sunny paradise. Tourists and locals alike are invited to join the march, making it a wonderfully diverse and inclusive gathering.
What to Expect
While the heart of the day is undoubtedly the spirited march through the streets of Cabo San Lucas, Pride celebrations in Los Cabos have historically been vibrant affairs. In previous years, the area around the Cultural Pavilion has served as a central hub for food, entertainment, and community connection following the parade.
Though specific details on ancillary events for 2025 are still emerging, attendees can generally look forward to an atmosphere brimming with joy, music, and opportunities to connect with LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. In the past, symposiums and discussion sessions have also been part of the broader Pride experience, offering spaces for dialogue and advocacy.

For now, mark your calendars for June 21, 2025, and prepare to be part of a truly historic and heartwarming day in Cabo San Lucas. It’s a chance to stand (and march!) for equality, celebrate diversity, and experience the incredible, welcoming spirit of Los Cabos. Keep an eye out for more details as the date gets closer – this is one party with a purpose you won’t want to miss!
