American Football Player Russell Wilson And Wife Ciara Vacationing In Cabo

It is not uncommon to see celebrities vacationing in Los Cabos but it is uncommon to see a football star taking a vacation during his week off in the middle of the season. That is exactly what American football star Russell Wilson did though.  The Denver Broncos player and his wife, singer and songwriter Ciara, were recently spotted relaxing by a pool in Cabo.   

Fans of the NFL quarterback may think he should be working on improving his game, but he is recovering from an injury, and surely a little rest and relaxation can be beneficial for the sports star.  Although it is unknown if the couple was in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo, we do know that this isn’t the first time the couple has vacationed in the Los Cabos area.  And based on past trips, it seems like Cabo San Lucas is their go-to when vacationing in Mexico.

Last year, when Russell Wilson still played for the Seattle Seahawks, he and his wife vacationed in Cabo San Lucas before the football season started.  During that trip, the couple was sighted poolside on a sunny Sunday afternoon.  Throughout the vacation, the football player was seen “studying,” presumably for last year’s upcoming season.

The couple also visited Cabo early in their relationship, taking a vacation during the football player’s “bye week” in 2015 when he played for the Seahawks at the time.  Then in 2016, a few months after the couple became engaged, they were seen vacationing with Ciara’s small son in Cabo San Lucas.  The two dated for about a year before getting engaged in March of 2016. 

It’s fair to say that Russell and Ciara Wilson are big fans of Cabo San Lucas and have no problem hopping on a plane and heading to the sunny destination whenever they need a little escape.  And they’re not the only celebrities that love Cabo, in fact, there’s a pretty long and star-studded list of Americans that have vacationed in Cabo more than once.  Some celebrities have even owned their own homes in Cabo, Cindy Crawford and George Clooney for example, and some likely still do. 

Considering how many famous faces show up in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo every year, everybody who hasn’t visited has to be wondering what makes it so special.  And as millions of tourists discover every year there is a lot to love about Los Cabos, meaning “The Capes,” because each individual city is its own cape.  A cape is a piece of land that rises above the land surrounding it and juts out into the sea. 

This dramatic scenery is only one of the many things to love about the area, though, as more than 2 million people this year alone have already discovered.  The beaches, the adventure activities and water sports, the culinary scene, and the opportunity to explore authentic Mexican culture and history are just a few of the reasons to visit this much-loved vacation destination.  Combine that with a long list of luxury all-inclusive resorts to choose from and there are plenty of reasons to visit Cabo. 

This is why for celebrities like Ciara and Russell Wilson, this is not their first Cabo vacation, and more than likely it won’t be their last, because who doesn’t love luxury and having their every need attended to?  There are plenty of places to stay in Cabo that will make anyone feel like a celebrity just like these two.  And that is just one more reason to go to Cabo.
