Los Cabos has long been celebrated as one of the premier luxury golf destinations in the world, but the ultra-exclusive residential community of Diamante has just raised the bar to unprecedented heights. Diamante Cabo San Lucas has officially unveiled the Legacy Course, a brand-new championship layout designed by Tiger Woods and his firm, TGR Design.

Marking Woods’s third design layout within the 1,500-acre master-planned community, the championship course will serve as the anchor for the ultra-exclusive new Legacy Golf Club. Billed by TGR Design as its most ambitious international project to date, the club is bound to become one of the most elite and tightly gatekept golf sanctuaries in North America.

The Most Ambitious Water Features In Mexico

Conceived as a literal “oasis in the desert,” the Legacy Course is engineered to transport golfers out of the rugged, arid southern Baja terrain and into a secluded, lush, tropical paradise. To ensure total isolation, the entire property will be ringed by a massive, custom-landscaped man-made sand dune designed to wall off the outside world.

  • A Water-Centric Masterpiece: Crafted alongside course designers Cook and Solis, the Legacy Course will feature the most extensive array of water features ever built into a Mexican golf course. The layout boasts five massive lakes connected by winding, flowing streams and punctuated by dramatic waterfalls and cascading drops that double as scenic eye-candy and strategic hazards.
  • The Look and Feel: Thousands of mature trees and dense tropical plants will transform the desert landscape into a vibrant, living garden, anchored visually by deep, brilliant white sand bunkers.
  • Tiger’s Take: “Legacy Course combines tournament-caliber strategy with an unforgettable visual experience,” Tiger Woods stated regarding the design. “It will look and play unlike anything else at Diamante.”

Elite Amenities And A 16-Acre Practice Facility

The world-class golf experience is paired with a staggering level of luxury off the fairways. The project introduces a massive 16-acre state-of-the-art practice facility featuring a dedicated short-game area and a full-length driving range. On-course hospitality will be managed across several distinct hubs:

  • The Start House: Located at the first tee, this building will serve as the core hospitality hub, offering a premium pro shop, indoor-outdoor dining spaces, and a viewing terrace on the roof.
  • The Outpost: Also known as “Fish Camp,” this relaxed, open-air spot will serve as the ultimate casual social gathering space mid-round.
  • The Legacy Clubhouse: A sprawling, forthcoming clubhouse complex is currently in development, set to bring luxury swimming pools, private cabanas, high-end locally sourced dining, and a comprehensive wellness center to members.

The Price Of Ultimate Exclusivity

If you are hoping to secure a tee time on the Legacy Course during your next vacation, you might be out of luck unless you have some seriously well-connected friends. The Legacy Golf Club is strictly private and legally limited to just 250 families.

Gaining access requires a staggering $300,000 initiation fee, with annual dues estimated at around $60,000.

However, for the lucky few who secure membership, the pass grants full access to the entire, unparalleled Diamante golf universe. This includes Davis Love III’s world top-100 Dunes Course, Tiger Woods’s existing El Cardonal course (which proudly hosts a PGA TOUR event), the Oasis Short Course, and the Dunes Putting Course. It also rolls in access to the highly anticipated beach club slated for completion later this year.

For those looking to move in permanently, the surrounding real estate options are equally grand. Properties inside the private enclave range from “Legacy Gardens” residences starting at $2.05 million and “Legacy Villas” hovering around $4.25 million, all the way up to one-acre Founder Estates and a highly limited collection of just ten ultra-premium Legacy Estates built at the community’s highest mountain elevation.

With an estimated 18 months until the project is fully completed and open for play, the Legacy Course firmly cements Los Cabos as a global titan of ultra-luxury sport tourism.
