A new report shows that it’s even safer now than ever because crime is down, and tourism is booming.

The group surveyed was made up of both domestic and international tourists.

Even the U.S. State Department considers Los Cabos a safe enough vacation destination for Americans to visit.   

While there is a warning to exercise increased caution when visiting, there are no restrictions on travel to Los Cabos.   

The advisory to exercise increased caution is an advisory that applies to the state of Baja California Sur in general, and is due to the possibility of criminal activity taking place while visiting.   

Los Cabos’s Location – One Of Beauty And Security 

The location of Los Cabos is also a factor in its being safer than many other Mexican vacation destinations.   

It sits at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, far away from the mainland, where crime is more prevalent.

Nearly 2 million international tourists have already visited the destination this year, and the high season is just around the corner, so that number will jump considerably by the end of 2024.
