When you’re vacationing in Los Cabos, you want to have at least one amazing beach day, and there are several fabulous beaches to choose from.

You can choose to go to one of the area’s most popular beaches, like Medano or Lover’s Beach, or you can go to a more secluded beach, like El Tule Beach.

Read on to find out how to get to this lesser-known Los Cabos beach that is recommended by locals and why you might want to go there.

El Tule Beach in Los Cabos, Mexico

El Tule Beach – One Of Los Cabos’ Best Kept Secrets

El Tule Beach, like many of the other best beaches in Los Cabos, is located along the famous Tourist Corridor that connects Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

The difference is that El Tule is a much more secluded beach.

It’s an expansive stretch of beach that is perfect for a more relaxing beach day, but there are a few things you should know about it before going.

It’s Located Near Other Popular Beaches

While you may not have heard El Tule Beach come up much in conversations about Los Cabos beaches, it’s located pretty close to other popular beaches.

It’s situated just steps from one of the most popular swimmable beaches in Los Cabos, Chileno Beach.

El Tule Beach is a short distance from Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, so it’s easily accessible to travelers staying in that area.

Getting To El Tule Beach Is Easier Than You Think

Even though El Tule Beach is located along the Tourist Corridor, it’s still pretty easy to get to, even if you’re not staying at a nearby hotel or resort.

To drive on the beach you would need a four-wheel drive vehicle, but there’s another option that makes more sense for tourists.

That option is the public bus, which drops off at all of the beaches in the area, and rates start at less than $2 a ride.

The Waters Are Rough But Swimmable

El Tule Beach is popular among surfers but surprisingly swimmable too.  It really depends on the day and how strong of a swimmer you are.

According to locals, there are boulders on the beach that you can sit in the water around that keep the surf at bay.

Swimming beyond this should be done with extreme caution because lifeguards are not present on El Tule Beach.

You Have To Bring Your Own Beach Gear

Many Los Cabos beaches have vendors on them selling goods and renting out beach equipment.

On El Tule Beach, though, there typically are no vendors renting out beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear.

You’ll have to bring your own if you plan on spending the day at the beach.

There Are No Stores Or Restaurants On

Just as there are no vendors on the beach, there are no stores or restaurants either.

If you’re going to be spending the entire day on the beach, you’ll want to shop for some supplies to bring with you.

Water, sunscreen, snacks, and other necessities should all be purchased in advance.

Why Choose El Tule Beach Over Others?

The biggest reason to include El Tule Beach on your list of must-visit beaches in Los Cabos is the seclusion.

Many of the other best beaches in the destination are more crowded, particularly Medano Beach, which is the area’s most popular beach.

The other reason to visit is because it’s one of the more unique beaches in Los Cabos, with the opportunity to provide a completely different experience than most other beaches you can visit during your Los Cabos vacation.
