We all know Los Cabos is one of the premier luxury destinations in the world, which Americans are fortunate enough to take advantage of geographically.
There are two sides to Los Cabos and both are phenomenal in their own right, but the experts at TripAdvisor recently narrowed down travelers’ favorite destinations in Mexico.
Fewer than 1% of all 8 million listings are awarded with the highest designation, Best of the Best.
Among the one-percenters is Cabo San Lucas – a mix of multiple worlds where tourists can chase the action or find a blissful spot to unwind.
Travelers are all about taking a trip to Cabo, and the numbers back it up. Breaking tourism records is no easy feat, but Cabo continues to be one of the most popular getaways for Americans with no signs of slowing down in 2024.
The Party Don’t Stop
According to TripAdvisor, one of the best places in Mexico for nightlife is Cabo. When the sun sets, and lights are dimmed, Cabo isn’t anywhere near ready to be tucked in for a bedtime story.
Oftentimes, there are nightly events at resorts, but there are plenty of bars to hop around for a night out on the town, such as the famous Cabo Wabo Cantina and Senor Frogs.
We’re in the dead of winter now, but it’s never too early to plan for Spring Break. The average weekend in Cabo is party central, but Spring Break extends the party scene to the beach.
Of course, Spring break tends to be a college crowd. And we call know college kids are ballin’ on a budget.
For those with finer tastes and no problems stretching their budget, Cabo has some awesome cocktail bars and tasting rooms for those not seeking to chug cheap beers.
Fun Excursions
TripAdvisor highlights Cabo as one of the most fun destinations for its unique excursions. There’s a lot of coastline around the world, but not all of them have whale tours.
Cabo is one of the best to see the ocean’s gentle giants up close leaving tourists with lifelong memories. Whale season is in full force right now with dozens of highly-rated tour providers at ready.
Some are under $100, a steal in this ritzy bank-account-draining town! There are so many other thrilling adventures in Cabo, but another favorite is ATV rentals.
While some choose to take long romantic walks on the beach at sunset, others need their adrenaline fix on a 4×4.
Known as a gorgeous beach destination, sometimes the desert is overlooked. Adventurers can rent ATVs for a beach spin or go off-roading through the desert sand as well.
What’s Your Vibe?
With an expected increase of half a million tourists in 2024, Cabo is a draw to so many because it checks off the boxes for everyone.
You can switch up your itinerary day to day, depending on what your vibe is that day. With plentiful excursions, visitors can spend all day out and about seeing all the sights.
Conversely, you can also enjoy yourself just as much doing absolutely nothing. Get pampered at a world-class spa, lounge at your glistening resort pool and spend the catching rays at some of Mexico’s best beaches.
Either way, it sounds like a pretty great day, right? Millions of tourists agree and that’s why Cabo is so popular and only continuing to trend upward.
Always A Top Destination In Mexico
We know Los Cabos was a top destination in Mexico simply by looking at the number of visitor arrivals, but 2024 is left to predictions.
So where does Cabo fair in stacking up with other Mexican destinations for 2024? Based on detailed reviews and insight from their community, TripAdvisor awarded Cabo San Lucas 3rd in the Best of the Best in Mexico.
