Frontier Airlines has launched its unlimited flight pass for this summer season at a discounted price of $699, and Los Cabos travelers can take advantage.

This will allow travelers to book as many flights as they’d like up until September 30th 2023. Just as long as the route is serviced by the airline.

For travelers wanting to head to Los Cabos, it can be great news. Since Frontier offers multiple routes with the San Jose del Cabo airport as the final destination. 

Cities That Frontier Flies To Cabo From

There are only 2 U.S. cities from which Frontier flies to Cabo directly. Those are Las Vegas and Denver. That means that to head to Cabo on this airline, you may need to book a trip with at least one stop and a long layover.  

Some of the main U.S. cities that Frontier flies out of to head to Cabo, from which you can book the whole trip directly on their site, include Dallas, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, and Ontario in the LA area.

Notably absent currently are Cabo flights from Atlanta and any of the NYC area airports.

Frontier does seem to hope it will open a route from the Long Island airport to Cabo in the near future.

Each of these flights, though, includes a stop in Vegas or Denver. This can certainly discourage travelers from buying the travel pass, but price wise it may make more sense. Even if you have to deal with layovers to get to Cabo.  

Is It Worth It To Buy The Summer Pass To Fly to Cabo?  

Naturally, the pass can be worth it or not, depending on the number of times that each traveler is looking to fly this summer.

When it comes to Cabo trips, tourists flying out of certain U.S. cities will be able to recuperate almost half their money’s worth on just one trip.

For example, flying out of DFW to Cabo is going to set you back about $350 on the basic rate offered by Frontier. That route is going to include a long layover in Denver. 

Just for comparison, the main direct flight that takes travelers from DFW to Cabo on American will set them back an average of $650 through the summer months

. When you factor that price tag in, the unlimited flights with Frontier for $699 through the summer look a lot better.

Travelers from the East Coast of the United States will face a similar dilemma. In the sense that a direct flight to Cabo may set them back the entire cost of the unlimited summer pass with Frontier. 

One of the main benefits of the unlimited flight pass is that you could potentially book individual flights without necessarily having to stick to the route that is provided on the site.

What we mean by that is that you could potentially book one flight to Vegas from any of the NYC airports.

Spend however much time you want in Vegas, and book another one-way trip to Cabo.

Then set up a return route, perhaps through Denver, for your return.

Buying up a ton of one-way flights is not the best way to save money ordinarily, but if you have unlimited flights, it doesn’t really matter.

Admittedly Frontier may not have the best routes to fly to Cabo, but the pass certainly makes them a more appealing alternative.  

There’s Also A Yearly Unlimited Travel Pass From Frontier 

Alongside its unlimited summer pass, Frontier is also launching its yearly unlimited pass.

That pass will have a validity that will run through May 2024. The airline promises that this unlimited yearly pass will run as a subscription service.

Tourists who buy the pass at 1,999 dollars per person per year will be recharged to their credit card every year until they cancel.

There’s no guarantee that the rate will remain the same for 2024.

There are some restrictions to the number of flights that can be booked. Travelers with the pass have to book through the airline directly and have their itinerary approved by the airline before they travel.
