“Seven American tourists were on board, and they were safely transferred to another vessel so they could continue their fishing experience without incident,” an official involved in the operation explained. This quick action allowed the visitors to resume their planned activities with minimal disruption, despite the unexpected mechanical issue.

The boat that suffered the electrical problem was actively engaged in sport fishing when the failure occurred. The Fonmar team, under the leadership of Luis Ramón Cárdenas Carranza, not only rescued the passengers but also took on the task of towing the disabled vessel back to shore.
